Junior Leader Responsibilities To The Troop

Scouts and Parents,

In addition to the descriptions of each of the leadership roles within a Boy Scout Troop we would like for you to know the responsibilities for each of the positions as we want you to be able to make an informed decision as a family regarding which position(s) would be best for you.  Many boys within the Troop will have a leadership position and we want to ensure that you are serving in a role that you not only understand, but are willing to do your best.

If your leadership position requires that you be at the Troop meetings early, you will need to arrive 25 minutes before the start of the meeting in order to meet with the Scoutmaster and Asst. Scoutmasters to make final preparations for the meeting.  Patrol Leaders’ Council (PLC) is the 1st Tuesday of each month from 7:00 – 8:15 PM at Deltona Alliance Church.  Committee meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 7:00 – 8:30 PM at Deltona Alliance Church.

Every member of the Troop should plan to arrive at Troop meetings by 6:45 PM.  This time should be used to turn in dues, permission slips, and take care of any necessary business.  This will allow each person to be prepared to start the meeting on time.
